Loft New York City

Before the project

This married couple have been living together for many years and have no intention of having children as their lifestyle is very social and their careers come first. They both have well-paid jobs and they have just moved into a rented apartment in New York City which is more accommodating to their needs than the last apartment they rented. As rent is high in NY theirs being $4,500 per month they only have one bedroom and one bathroom but both of amble space.

The style is industrial New York Loft with all the features for a trendy space. The windows are stunning with the large black arched frames and the walls in the traditional red brick. They love the air-condition feature on the high ceiling of 15 feet. They had a budget of $8,000 and wanted the room to be designed around the industrial style, so they could show off all those features of the room.

After the project

Suzi works in fashion so she wanted the room to reflect that and to have great storage solutions and to get dressed with ease. The room was designed so they both had their areas of the room owning their wardrobe and chest of drawers. They also have a place to change and a seat to put on shoes with hooks to hang out the outfit for the day. The favorite place for Suzi is her beauty dressing table and a cart nearby to store hair and makeup accessories, and a changing screen to get dressed behind.

The windows although are a beautiful feature needed curtains to give privacy so had to be hand-made for the extremely long length. The lighting bought the room to life as it felt dark with the brick and gave a sense of luxury.
